All our wool products are from certified organic flocks of Native Shetland Sheep bred in the Shetland Islands.

Natural colours, organically grown by Shetland farmers and crofters, cleaned and spun by environmentally friendly processes in certified organic mills.

Most of these yarns are made into balls manually of the oiled cone, and will feel softer after washing.

Because of the small scale of supply and production, there may be slight variations in colour between one batch and another.

Raw fleeces and Rovings for hand spinning

Our raw organic native Shetland fleece is just that - clipped in Shetland from organic Shetland sheep. Unwashed, undyed and uncombed.

These fleeces come from a breed which has evolved over the last 5000 years in Shetland, and is perfectly suited to the climate it is grown in. The end result really is something special, and reflects not just breed, but also diet, climate and traditional farming methods.
